The fresh layer of snow in the yard makes it much easier to get in the spirit of the upcoming season. That, and an afternoon harmonizing with some of my favorite people. Mark Robinette and I spent a couple delightful hours yesterday at the piano of th amazing Kelly DeHaan, working up harmonies and arrangements for the upcoming concerts. Talk about beautiful voices! I am so excited to dress my tunes, old and new ones, with the voices of Mark, Kelly and my friend-who’s-like-a-sister, Merlyn Schofield.
Tickets for the concerts are selling faster than we had thought (indeed, this is good news to the producer of these shows). Preferred seating for all three shows is sold out. The Monday night show has a few dozen seats left, as does Saturday afternoon. Saturday night has plenty of seating available at this point. If you’re making plans to come, please order your tickets soon so I don’t have to feel bad when good friends come knocking at my door looking for tickets. Farmington Parks and Recreation handles all ticket sales. They are wonderful people and I am so grateful to be working with them! I am lucky to let them take care of selling tickets so I can focus on making the music sparkle as much as possible. Song-polishing is my favorite form of housework!
