I’ve wondered why people would come back year after year to hear what we offer in Christmas music. So I asked. We approached people who seem to always purchase tickets and asked why. What they said was not that they wanted to see fabulous musicianship, or stunning scenery or even stellar artistry. What they come for is the feeling they take home with them. “We know what we will get,” they said, “and we almost always bring someone new to share it with.”

Of course this makes me incredibly happy. But mostly it makes me feel bound to my audiences, like I have a giant living room full of best friends and we are reminiscing together. It doesn’t hurt that the people up on stage with me… “my boys”… make the experience divine. You will not find better humans who also happen to be dripping with talent. If I only had quality technicians of music performing with me it might sound nice, but the feeling would not shine through like it does with these guys. Mark Robinette, Kelly DeHaan, Aaron Ashton, Rich Dixon, Timo Petersen and this year the choral talents of the Mountain Ridge High Madrigals who are singing some of my tunes with me. How fun is THAT? And of course there’s my Dave, and our darling Heavenly Choir.

Who know how many more of these concerts lie ahead of me. For now, I am inhaling every moment of it.

Come feel it with us!
