Though I am not Catholic, I do believe in the sacredness of the Holy season, leading Christians to the most sacred of holidays, Easter. Each year I make a commitment to write for each day of Lent, the season of sacrifice. I publish my writing on my blog, www.coriconnors.blogspot.com. You’re welcome to take a gander. This year I use a random word pulled from a Random Word Generator on the internet. I use the word as a jumping-off place for my writing exercises.
A couple years ago I wrote the backstories to my songs on my blog, as part of my Lent writing. So if you’ve ever wondered what I was thinking when I wrote a certain tune, you can probably find the back story on my blog, along with the song’s lyric.
On a musical note, I have been writing short little songs about Colors for an online pre-school program. I will be recording them starting next week. After that, we start recording on an album of lullabies. It’s exciting to be back in the studio, and back in the creative writing mode.
