Through the years one of the most common comments I get from “fans”is this: My kids go to sleep to your music every night.” I am really happy that my tunes don’t scare people. But I also worry that if anyone listens in their cars they might doze off and….
Since I’m sort of skilled at singing people to sleep…including years of Young Women at Girls Camp…I’ve decided to make a LULLABY ALBUM. I’m inviting the rest of you to come into the bedrooms of my darling grandchildren while I sing them to sleep. Not really. But sort of.
I am thrilled to be working once again with MARK STEPHENSON at Metro Studios. MICHAEL DOWDLE, the master of guitar work, has been adding his magic fingers to the mix. And the divine harmonies of MERLYN SCHOFIELD are adding sweetening. It’s been a real joy to be back in the studio.
I’ll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, I’ve been really bad at posting on my web calendar.
Tomorrow night I play for the Sons of Utah Pioneers banquet in SLC. And Friday June 27th I am playing at the Children’s Art Yard in the UTAH ARTS FESTIVAL. The gig at the Homestead, which was planned for next Friday has been cancelled due to a family wedding. Sorry, this came up after they had printed their posters.
Anyway, I hope to see some of you somewhere.
In the meantime, be nice to each other and have a safe and happy summer.
