BLOWING KISSES – Lullabies & Little Love Songs, has received the highest recognition possible from the Parents’ Choice Foundation for 2015. That shiny GOLD medallion found on books, toys, furniture, recordings…just about anything having to do with the well being of children, has been awarded to our newest recording, and we couldn’t be more tickled!
Every year at holiday or birthday time I have looked for items that have been recognized by this trusted non-profit organization. Their standards are really high, and their scrutiny helps to insure the finest quality for our children. So, of course, I am pretty excited to have been selected for this honor. You can read their review HERE.
It’s true, I love a good review from a renowned organization. But the ones that grab my heart are the notes and calls and whispered conversations from individuals who have tested it in their own homes. Testimonials have flowed in since we released the album a few months ago:
“The most amazing cure for what we thought was colic.”
“…He won’t go to sleep without his blanket and your voice!”
“…We have a supply of batteries in case the power goes out. Emergency preparedness for exhausted parents!”
If this were not a public forum I would share with you photos people have sent of their kids sleeping. One of them is a six year old curled up in a dog bed next to her CD player.
Yesterday I saw a friend who is a grandfather, as well as a respected elected official. He told me he has Blowing Kisses on steady repeat in his office. “It calms me,” he said. He deals with heavy public issues and I am honored that he finds peace and calm in my album.
On the other hand, I would be careful if I played it in my car, unless my objective was to get the little ones in the back seat to settle down. I tend to get drowsy behind the wheel, so…well, you know.
SO, my friends, if you love, or even just like, someone with little ones (or middle aged ones for that matter) who could use a bit of auditory love, consider ordering BLOWING KISSES for them for MOTHER’S DAY. Or any other day. I’ll even sign one for you, just ask when you order. And of course, they are always available in the milk box on my front porch if you live close by.
Be well. Do good.
